Evolution Revolt two place trike

REVO

Over the past year there have been whispers in the trike community that a new and innovative trike was in the works from Larry Mednick and the folks who build the REVO and REV.

That turned out to be the case, but to say that the new REVOLT from Evolution Trikes is innovative would be an understatement. The REVOLT from the ground up is nothing but outstanding.

Larry indicates "from the introduction of the single place
REV last year, the most asked question has been when is the two seater going to be available?"

Like the REV the Revolt is a no front strut design, which provides an unobstructed view out the front of the craft. The second thing that you will immediately notice is that the rear seat is elevated above the front seat. This gives "separation between the passenger and pilot, and gives greater visibility to the rear seat occupant, so he or she doesn't have to look around the pilot."

Entry to the rear seat is easy, you just tilt the front seat forward and climb in. While the pilot in the front seat, because there is no front down strut, just sits down in the seat and brings his/her legs over and onto the rudder pedals. Exit from both the rear and front seats is even easier than entry, since there is nothing in front of you to hinder your exit.

The training package for the Revolt is an option and provides the training bars, rear steer and rear hand throttle.

The front rudder pedal controls adjust up and down on their tubes for different pilot heights, sitting in the seat with your feet on the pedals, steering is done by pushing on your heels, which moves the front fork assembly. Pushing on your left toe activates the hydraulic disc brake system, which engages 4 brakes, two on each wheel.

The right pedal is your throttle, with an additional cruise throttle located on the right side of your hip.

The shock system used on the Revolt is a "completely borrowed system from the AirWolf Powrachute," which feature Fox gas charged shocks with 7 inches of travel.

The standard wing is a single surface 15 meter wing, which has a trim range between 48 and 55 mph. According to Larry this is "a phenominal flying wing, which folds quickly for ease of storage."

An optional wing for faster speeds is the all new Rival X, 14 meter wing, which has a 50 to 80 mph. speed range. The Rival X wing has 7 degrees of fixed "flaps" which aids in quick take offs and short landings.

The REVOLT is an all American designed and manufactured in aircraft with production facilities in Michigan Larry indicates based on past experience of having delivery of the new REVOLT to customers, who place orders in 4 to 6 weeks.
